Susan M. Sumner
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Susan "Susie" M. Sumner, 55, of Wood River, passed away Wednesday morning, Nov. 17, 2010, at her residence. Susan was a beautiful woman known for her love of life, laughter and people, particularly children. She was a very strong, caring, giving individual, mother and grandmother. Susan attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wood River.
Susan was born on Aug. 27, 1955, in Eldorado, to the late Andy Hrecko and Betty (Milligan) Hrecko. Betty survives in Eldorado.
In addition to her mother Betty, Susan is survived by three children, Angelique Sumner, Justin Sumner and Salicia Sumner; two grandchildren, Nikaya Wyatt and Noah Van Dyke, all of Harrisburg; two brothers, Andrew Hrecko Jr. of Felton, Calif., and Matthew Hrecko of Pontiac; two sisters, Joy Martin and husband Charles of Godfrey and Lynda Henderson and husband Kip of Bethalto; and six nieces and nephews, Gabriel Kuykendall and wife Kelly of Alton, Aja Martin, Thai Martin, Lance Martin and wife Emily all of Godfrey, Jacynda Hrecko of Harrisburg and Aslan Henderson of Bethalto.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Pastor Ed Nenonen will officiate; burial will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Eldorado. Visitation will be held from noon to service time on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
