Bonnie Lee Werkmeister
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Bonnie Lee Werkmeister, 94, of Harrisburg, passed away at 11:18 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.
She was born on Jan. 26, 1916, in Lovelaceville, Ky., to the late James Forrest "Jack" and Zula Velma (Joiner) Parker. On Feb. 1, 1936, she married Russell A. Werkmeister and he preceded her in death on July 24, 1976.
She was a member of the Pythian Sisters, the Genealogy Club, Senior Citizens, Four County Seniors, Seniors Band and she played the piano for Gospel Quartets.
Surviving family members include a son, Phillip (Leslie) Werkmeister of Benton; brother, John Wesley (Edna) Parker of Muddy; brother, Raymond Parker of Buckingham; seven grandchildren, and "umpteen" foster grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Marylyn Rae Halstead; brother, James Cletus Parker; and two sisters, Clara Lou Ferrell and Dorothy Jean Trapp.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Arthur Austin Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Sloan Street General Baptist Church Building Fund.
