</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Virginia Dare Tanner, born on Sept. 13, 1923, in Carrier Mills, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, in Sun Valley, Calif.

She was married for 61 years to her beloved husband, Alfred Leon Tanner.

She is lovingly survived by a daughter, Regina; two sons, Ron and Tim; and a grandson, Ryan.

She was so much more than words can express.

A chapel service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at Valley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Burbank, Calif.
