Obeta Brown
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Obeta Brown, 88, Harrisburg, passed away 12:05 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 2010, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Galatia.
She was born July 20, 1922, in Harrisburg, the daughter of Earl "Cotton" Brown and Flo Williams Brown. Obeta graduated Harrisburg Township High School and later graduated Indiana University. She retired from the state of Illinois as an employment services adviser. She then lived with, and cared for, her mother until her passing.
Obeta is survived by a nephew and his wife, Karsten and Carol Rilying of Rochester; a great-niece and -nephew, Joshua Rilying of Springfield and Kirstin and Lance Gorman of Aurora, and their children, Jaden Rilying and MacKenzie Gorman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Earleen Rilying.
Graveside services preceded burial 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, at the Coffee Cemetery with the Rev. G. E. Coultas officiating. There will be no visitation; friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
