Charles Edward Bradford
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Charles Edward Bradford, 54, Harrisburg, passed away at 10:06 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at his residence in Harrisburg.
He was born on June 23, 1956, in Chicago to Alice Marie (Bryant) and the late Orland O'Dell Bradford.
Charles worked for the Illinois Department of Transportation as a heavy equipment operator.
Surviving family members include his mother, Alice Marie Bradford of Metropolis; daughter, Ebony Lee (Juan) Lopez of Bloomington; daughter, Monica Bradford of Carbondale; son, Charles Bradford II of Bloomington; daughter, Leah Bradford of Carbondale; one grandchild, Mikayla Bradford of Carbondale; brother, Derrick Bradford of Bradley; brother, Calvin Lewis (Marilyn) Bradford of Sugarland, Texas; sister, Deloris Bradford of Metropolis; sister, Loretta (Dale) Deransburg of Country Club Hills; brother, Herbert Lymar Bradford of Metropolis; half-sister, Charlene Marie (David) Daughtery of Metropolis; and his significant other, Tonya Scott of Harrisburg.
He was preceded in death by his father; two half-brothers, Norman Fitzgerald and Orlando Reyes; and a half-sister, Sherry Reyes.
Graveside services will be held at noon Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at Masonic Cemetery in Metropolis. Bro. William Hensley will officiate. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery in Metropolis. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery.
