Abraham L. 'Dogman' Elmore

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mr. Abraham L. "Dogman" Elmore, 79, of Omaha, passed away at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, at his daughter&#39;s home.

He was married to Victoria (DeCamp) Elmore, who preceded him in death.

Abraham was born in Newton on Feb. 12, 1931, the son of the late Dee and Byrdean (French) Elmore.

He was a member of St. Mary&#39;s Catholic Church in Eldorado.

He served in the U.S. Army as a PFC during the Korean War.

He worked pipeline construction across the United States prior to retirement.

He was a member of the Eldorado American Legion.

Abraham is survived by three daughters, Dee (Albert) Kean of Eldorado, Ramona (Mark) Bennett of Olney and Christine Luthie of Olney; two stepsons, Joe (Mary) Harris of Eldorado and Michael (Rosie) Pearcy of Arizona; two sisters, Delores Staley of Newton and Mettalou Karnes of Strausburg; three brothers, Larry Elmore of Newton, Carson Elmore of Newton and Larson Elmore of Tennessee; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held at St. Mary&#39;s Catholic Church in Eldorado at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010, with Jean Wills officiating. Burial was in St. Mary&#39;s Cemetery.

Visitation hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, at the funeral home.
