Carroll Bruce

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mr. Carroll M. Bruce, 67, of Carrier Mills, passed away at 9:11 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

Carroll was born in Omaha on July 5, 1943, the son of the late Walter Pete and Eve Gertrude (Trusty) Bruce.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Carroll is survived by a daughter, Amanda (D.L. Winters) Bruce of Sandoval; two sons, Bryan (Becky) Bruce of Carbondale and Keith Harold (Julie) Bruce of Eldorado; and a stepdaughter, Carrie Ann Vaughn of Eldorado. Carroll is also survived by two sisters, Sandra Joyce (Roger) Butts of Nevada and Linda Jo (Ronald) Thompson of Goreville.

He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Vaughn and Betty Cochran.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with Rick Winters officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation is 11 a.m. to service time Sunday at the funeral home.
