Mary Raymer

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mary Raymer, 89, of Pontiac, Mich., formerly of Carrier Mills and Energy, passed away at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, at Clarkston Specialty Health Care Center in Clarkston, Mich.

There will be a memorial service for her friends and family in the Southern Illinois area at a later date. Blue Funeral Home in Marion is handling the arrangements.

Mary was born April 10, 1921, in Carrier Mills to William Herman and Arsula Elizabeth (Cole) Tanner.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Dana Brodbeck of St. Johns, Fla.; son, Rick Raymer of Michigan; several grandchildren, Jamie and Matthew Kulpa, Ryan and Elizabeth Brodbeck and Casey and Celia Raymer; three great-grandchildren, Rocco and Francesca Kulpa and Jack Brodbeck; a niece, Beverly Roland of Energy; and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Frances and L. A. "Butch" Barton; and an infant sister.

Mary graduated from Carrier Mills High School. She lived, worked and raised her family in Pontiac, Mich. After many years in Michigan, she moved back to Southern Illinois, living in Energy for a short time, before returning to Michigan.
