Emma Marie Shewmaker

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mrs. Emma Marie Shewmaker, 56, of Harrisburg, passed away at 6:07 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

She was the wife of Brice Shewmaker, who survives.

Emma was born in Harrisburg on Oct. 30, 1953, the daughter of the late Clarence and Bobbie Emmajean (Trout) Farmer.

She was a member of The Church of New Beginnings in Eldorado.

Emma is survived by four daughters, Christina (Terry) Suiter of Eldorado, Bobbie (Lelan) Drue of Harrisburg, Mary (Dustin) Colby of Harrisburg and Pearl (Roger Beabout) Shewmaker of Harrisburg; two sons, Christopher (Missy) Shewmaker of Harrisburg and Bryce Shewmaker Jr. of Harrisburg; two sisters, Rosie (Donald) Crisp of Harrisburg and Kathy Farmer of Harrisburg; a half-sister, Betty Hutchison of Ledford; 16 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Dana Conkle; a son-in-law, Luther Coleman Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, June Yarber, Mary Farmer McGhee, Elizabeth Ann and Martha Morrain; a brother, Clarence Farmer, Jr.; and two grandsons, Dakota Blake Colby and Joseph Blakely Shewmaker.

Graveside services will be at Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Harrisburg at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, with the Rev. Toby Hise officiating.
