Natalie Nichole Simpson Grubbs

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Natalie Nichole Simpson Grubbs, 34, of Harrisburg, passed away at 12:46 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

Natalie was born on June 12, 1976, in Eldorado to Gary and Sherri (Williams) Simpson. She married James "Jim" Grubbs on April 27, 2010, and he survives in Harrisburg. Natalie was Baptist by faith and worked in the medical field.

Natalie is survived by her husband, Jim Grubbs of Harrisburg; father, Gary Simpson and wife Valerie of Golconda; mother, Sherri Ramsey and husband Tim of Harrisburg; stepchildren, Maxwell and Dylan Grubbs; brother, Garrick Simpson and wife Amy of Harrisburg and their daughter, Abigail; stepsister, Rachel Romaine of Golconda; stepbrother, Bryan Ramsey and wife Brittany of Norris City and their son, Stryder Ramsey; grandparents, Brenda Pingleton of Harrisburg and Opal Simpson of Harrisburg; stepgrandparents, Margo and Ron Hall of Norris City; great-grandparents, Clifton and June Jones of Harrisburg; stepgrandparents, Ike and Irma Besheres of Carrier Mills; father and mother-in-law, Ronald and Joanne Grubbs of St. Anne; brother-in-law, Jeff Grubbs and wife Amy of St. Anne and their children, Amanda, Andrew and Adam Grubbs; sister-in-law, Jeanne Blaue of Chicago; and her beloved dachshund, Baxter.

She was preceded in death by a stepsister, Heather Ramsey; her grandfathers, Jim D. Williams and Bob Simpson; and great-grandparents, Glen and Lois Chrisman.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Barry Bascom will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010 at Reed Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Southern Illinois at Carbondale.
