Elizabeth 'Betty' Gale Hicks

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Elizabeth "Betty" Gale Hicks, 72, of Sherwood, N.D., died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at Trinity Hospital in Minot, N.D.

She was born Jan. 17, 1938, in Herrin to Polly Busler. She married Denzel Hicks on Nov. 15, 1954, in Corinth, Miss.

Betty and her husband enjoyed antiquing very much and owned North Coast Antiques as a weekend hobby business for many years. She also enjoyed needlepoint, reading, especially western-themed books, and scary movies. Betty was a member of the Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star.

Family includes husband, Denzel Hicks of Sherwood, N.D.; children, Darice (Paul) Herigstad of Mohall, N.D., Bruce (Deb) Hicks of Bismarck, N.D., Becky (Steve) Thilmony of Mandan, N.D. and Polly (Brian) Bahm of Mandan, N.D.; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and mother, Polly Busler of Eldorado.

Betty was preceded in death by her younger sister, Mary Lou.

Funeral is 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at the United Methodist Church in Sherwood, N.D. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church. Friends may also sign the online guestbook at the Internet site www.brosefuneralhome.com or at facebook.com/Brose Funeral Home.
