Joann Dees

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Joann Dees, 80, of Equality, passed away at 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at Harrisburg Medical Center in Harrisburg.

She was born on April 17, 1930, near Harrisburg to Virgil and Pauline (Robinson) Alvey. Joann married David L. Dees on July 8, 1950.

She was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church in Equality.

Joann is survived by her husband, David L. Dees of Equality; two sons, Richard and Nora Dees of Chicago and Dennis and Cathy Dees of Downers Grove; two brothers, Harry and Carolyn Alvey of Equality and David and Emma Alvey of West Lafayette, Ind.; four grandchildren, Sarah and Kevin Kline of Westmont, Elliott Dees of Mundelein, Spencer Dees of Oxford, Ohio and Erin Dees of Portland, Ore.

She was preceded in death by parents and one sister, Elsie Baker.

Visitation for Joann will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, with the Rev. Jim Allison officiating. Burial will be at the Cottage Grove Cemetery near Equality.
