Lawrence 'Buddy' Pike

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Lawrence "Buddy" Pike, 72, of Harrisburg, passed away 5:55 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, at his residence.

He was born in Athens, Ala., on Oct. 1, 1937, the son of Pryon and Lucy Curtis Pike. He was married to Judy Morris, who survives.

Lawrence was a partner and owner of Pike Brothers Roofing.

Surviving are his wife Judy; two sons, Eddie Pike and Bobby Pike, both of Harrisburg; and two daughters, Julie Embry of Harrisburg and Lisa Davison of Scottsboro, Ala.; two stepsons, Jeff and Cathy Davidson of Traverse City, Mich., and Gary and Angie Turcott of Harrisburg; a stepdaughter, Tammy Early Rasch of Swansboro, N.C.; two brothers, Jimmy and Karen Pike of Gurley, Ala., and Billy and Suzette Pike of Fayetteville, Tenn.; three sisters, Margaret Allen of Huntsville, Ala., Lois Gold of Athens, Ala., and Mary and Charles Ammerton of Athens, Ala.; 20 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Wayne Pike; one grandson, Jeffrey Davidson; daughter-in-law, Linda Stewart; and his beloved dog, Teki.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 9, 2010, at the J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home with the Rev. Darrell Eisenhauer officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Garden Cemetery. Friends called 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, at the J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg.
