Amy Rutherford

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Amy Rutherford, 90, Harrisburg, went home to be with the Lord at 11:40 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010, at her home in Harrisburg with her family beside her.

She was born on Feb. 15, 1920, in Gallatin County to the late John and Madeline (Williams) Logsdon. Amy was a member of the Dorrisville Baptist Church and former owner and operator of Rutherford Grocery in Shawneetown.

Surviving family members include four children, Letitia Smith of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, Benny (Annie) Rutherford of Karbers Ridge, Brenda Byassee of Shawneetown and Darla (David) Martin of Harrisburg; nine grandchildren, Jill (Jay) Goodyear of Hudson, Ohio, Marty (Melody) Chafin of Dandridge, Tenn., Benna (Jason) Williams of Collinsville, Michael Rutherford of Karbers Ridge, Keely (Jack) Wright of Shawneetown, Nathan Dobbs of Shawneetown, Jarred Dobbs of Alton, David (Julie) Martin of Harrisburg and Wes (Amanda) Martin of Kansas City, Mo.; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; great-grandchildren, Ali and Charlie Martin; brother, Clifford Logsdon; three sisters, Christina Frailey, Alleen Deitz and Louise Milligan.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Grandson Wes Martin will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to service time Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel.
