Doris Wilson

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Doris Wilson, 83, of Omaha, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010, at home surrounded by family and friends.

Doris was born Nov. 28, 1926, in Gallatin County, the daughter of William and Luella (Stone) Fulton. She attended school at Ridgway and graduated valedictorian the Class of 1944. She married Robert I. Wilson on Sept. 9, 1945.

She was a homemaker while raising her three sons. After the boys entered school, she went to work for more than 15 years in the office of Ridgway school. She was a long-time member of the Ridgway Baptist Church, serving as treasurer, active in her Women&#39;s Class and many other positions. Doris was also active in many community organizations including Home Extension and Women&#39;s Club. She was a wonderful wife and mother and is survived by her husband, Robert, of 65 years and her loving sons, Doyle (Susie) Wilson of Mt. Zion, Dr. Loren (Sandy) Wilson of Eldorado and Dr. Myron Wilson of Warner Roberts, Ga.; five grandchildren, Michael (Brandi) Wilson of Highland, Todd (Laurel) Wilson of Austin, Texas, Jon (Liz) Wilson of Santa Clara, Calif., Tracie (Rob) Vermillion of St. Peters, Mo. and Molly (Steve) Tenuto of Mt. Zion; five great-grandchildren, Andrew, Jacob and Lindsay Wilson and Skyler and Madalynn Tenuto.

She was preceded in death by parents, sister and brother.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2010, and the funeral service at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, 2010, at the Vickery Funeral Chapel at Ridgway. The Rev. Rob Gallion will be officiating with burial at Old Cottonwood Cemetery near Omaha.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to VNA of Eldorado.
