Anna Belle Bennett

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Anna Belle Bennett, 91 of Harrisburg, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2010, at Harrisburg Medical Center. She was born on Jan. 4, 1919, in Sikeston, Mo., to the late John and Elsie (Dever) Duke. On Feb. 25, 1940, she married Clifford Bennett and he preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 1996.

She was a member of the Dorrisville Social Brethren Church.

Surviving family members include two daughters, Donna (Dick) Dearing of Harrisburg and Shirley (Jim) Seets of Mansfield; four grandchildren, Gina (Mike) Mullins of Crossville, Lindy Potts of Raleigh, Shannon Potts of Mt. Vernon, Ind. and Jason Potts of Raleigh; 14 great-grandchildren, Julie Wolf, Matthew Denbow, Stephanie Denbow, Myah Mullins, Dakota Mullins, Jayden Mullins, Kendan Mullins, Justin Potts, Brittney Potts, Sarah Potts, Lucas Potts, Chase Potts, Jesse Potts and Mark Johnson; nine great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, J.W. Duke of Harrisburg and G.C. Duke of Harrisburg; and a sister, Delores Brasher of Harrisburg.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Wanda Bush, Jewell Estes and Ruby Brown; and a brother, Franklin Duke.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at the Dorrisville Social Brethren Church. The Rev. Jerry Wells and the Rev. Bernie Cowgill will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel, and from 12 to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Dorrisville Social Brethren Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dorrisville Social Brethren Church or Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
