Bobby G. Tolbert

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Bobby G. Tolbert, 80, of Harrisburg, passed away 11:37 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010, in Harrisburg Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 13, 1930, in Harrisburg, the son of Bon and Pauline Wilson Tolbert. He married Lela Pinnell at Harrisburg on Nov. 6, 1951, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 2, 2008.

Bob was retired from the Operating Engineers with over 50 years of service. He was an Army veteran and a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Mitchellsville.

Surviving are four sons, Robert of Raleigh, Daniel of Thompsonville and Michael and Allen of Harrisburg; two brothers, James Tolbert of Harrisburg and Harold Tolbert of Coal City; three sisters, Betty Trippe of Besmer, Ala., Zanada Cravens of Mt. Carmel and Pauline Lewis of Eldorado; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lela Tolbert; his parents; two daughters, Deborah Yoreck and Bonnie Holmes; and a sister, Zedith Ruth Tolbert.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at the J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home with the Rev. Leroy Hicks officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Spring Valley cemetery. There will be no public visitation prior to the funeral service.
