Clara Sybil (Shires) Van Vleck

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Clara Sybil (Shires) Van Vleck, 87, of Dallas, Texas, passed away at 7:21 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 2010, at Vickery Towers in Dallas.

She was born June 22, 1922, in Muddy, the daughter of Joe and Rena (Crabtree) Shires. She married Francis G. Van Vleck and he preceded her in death Dec. 25, 2009. She was a homemaker and a member of Church of God.

Surviving is a son, Kevin Markham and his life partner, Terry French of Dallas, Texas; two stepdaughters, Lydia Ann Rudisill of Indianapolis, Ind. and Anna May (Herb) Bell of Norris City; a sister, Mary Lou Salain of Knox, Ind.; and 12 stepgrandchildren.

Funeral services for Clara Sybil Van Vleck, 87, of Dallas, Texas, will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2010, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Harrisburg.
