Ralph A. Garrett

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ralph A. Garrett, 82, of Norris City, passed away on his farm on Friday, May 21, 2010.

He was born on Oct. 6, 1927, in Brydstown, Tenn., to James and Cordie Lee (Taylor) Garrett.

He was a farmer and welder for many years in the Norris City and Omaha communities.

Ralph is survived by his daughter, Sherry and Lloyd Jockisch of Godfrey; two sons, Jerry and Joyce Garrett of Omaha and Scott and Cathy Garrett of Shawneetown; two sisters, Martha Renshaw of Carmi and Ruth Blazer of Omaha; one brother, Truman Garrett of Omaha; 11 grandchildren, Eric and Faith Jockisch, Chris and Amanda Jockisch, Jamie and Vanessa Sauls, Rodney and Brandi Emmerson, Ricky and Trina Sauls, Dustin Sauls, Rhonda and Todd Tracy, Randy and Kami Garrett, Chad and Melonie Garrett, Cory and Ashley Garrett and Jamie Garrett; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Peggy Sauls.

Visitation for Ralph will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2010, at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Omaha. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at the funeral home with the Rev.
