Norma Jean Karns

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Norma Jean Karns, 75, 1501 Hardy St., Eldorado, died 10:10 a.m. Sunday, April 25, 2010, at Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, Ind.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at Eldorado Church of God with the Rev. David Mays officiating. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2010, at Watson Funeral Home, Eldorado.

She was born Feb. 27, 1935, in Eldorado to Clarence and Naomi (Newton) Shelton. On Sept. 26, 1955, she married William C. Karns, who preceded her in death in September 1987.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Eldorado Church of God, where she served as vice president of the ladies auxiliary. She was a strong Christian and enjoyed life.

She is survived by a son, Billy Joe (Pam) Karns of Eldorado two sisters, Martha (Bill) Betz of Eldorado and Joann Sisco of Eldorado; and three grandchildren, Tashina (Brandon) Wood, Philip Karns and Caitlyn Karns.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Debbie Karns; and a brother, Jackie Shelton.
