Mildred Hickey

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mildred Hickey, 90, of Shiloh, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away at 6 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Coulterville Care Center, Coulterville.

Mildred was born on Nov. 16, 1919, in Harrisburg to the late Murray and Fern (Overton) McDaniel. She married Otis Hickey on Dec. 16, 1942, and he preceded her in death in January 1980. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Harrisburg.

Mildred is survived by two sons, Gregory L. Hickey and wife Janet of Marissa and Dr. Terry I. Hickey and wife Karen of Orlando, Fla.; four grandchildren, Gregory Scott Hickey and wife Samantha of Brooklyn, N.Y., Todd Michael Hickey and wife Teresa of Steelville, Mo., Glen Turner and wife Kisa of Providence, R.I. and Chance Turner and wife Missy of Birmingham, Ala.; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Alice Tanner of Aurora, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Murray and Fern; husband, Otis; and three brothers, H.V. McDaniel, Lloyd McDaniel and Murray McDaniel.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Scott Johnson will officiate; burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg.
