Linda Weaver
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Linda Weaver, 65, daughter of the late Clifton C. and Edna B. (Griffin) Stevens, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at her daughter's residence in Galatia, with her loving children at her side.
Linda was born Sept. 14, 1944, Eldorado. She resided in Galatia, where she was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Her love of cooking started while working in the Galatia school system. She later became the proud owner and operator of Weaver's Family Restaurant in Galatia. Her love of cooking and pie-making continued there for over 12 years. Linda was blessed by the many people and friends that entered her kitchen.
She is survived by her three children, Kellie (Blake) Wiseman, Mike (Lynelyn) Weaver and Sharon (Richard) Fitzpatrick; her five grandchildren, Justin and Brittany Wiseman, Dalton and Derrick Fitzpatrick and Hunter Weaver; and her three brothers, Richard, Eugene and Alan Stevens, along with her beloved nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at noon Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Raleigh First Baptist Church in Raleigh with Pastor Mike Weaver and Pastor Dr. David Pinkerton officiating. Burial will be in Raleigh Masonic Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2010, at Sloan Funeral Home, Galatia and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church.
