Donald Michael 'Mike' Fletcher

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Donald Michael "Mike" Fletcher, 62, Thompsonville, passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at St. Mary&#39;s Medical Center in Evansville, Ind.

He was born on July 29, 1957, in Gary, Ind., to Donald and Margaret (Samples) Fletcher. On Nov. 10, 2000, he married Barbara Newman, who survives.

Mike was most recently a shaft driller for Shaft Drillers International out of West Virginia. He was also a cabinet maker, construction worker and worked in the oil fields. He attended Ebenezer Community Church.

Surviving family members include his wife, Barbara Fletcher of Thompsonville; parents, Donald and Margaret Fletcher of Thompsonville; daughter, Tawnya Odum and husband Matthew of Marion; son, Derrick Fletcher of Columbus, Ga.; three stepsons, Josh, David and Curtis Bertram; three grandchildren, Drew, Peyton and Kara Odum of Marion; brother, Brian Fletcher of Lemoore, Calif.; sister, Beth Ann Etienne of Eldorado; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Pat Fletcher.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Steve Dunning will officiate. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery in Thompsonville. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
