</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ethel Rister, 104, McLeansboro, formerly of East St. Louis, died 11 a.m. Sunday, April 11, 2010, at Hamilton Memorial Nursing Center.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Carroll Kakac officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at the funeral home.

She was the widow of Virgil Thompson and Roy Rister. She is survived by a stepdaughter, a sister, four stepgrandchildren and three nieces.
