Mary Jane (Tyler) McCoy
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mary Jane (Tyler) McCoy, 79, 701 Mundy St., Eldorado, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2010, at her residence.
She was born in Eldorado on Aug. 24, 1930, to well-known barber John Tyler and Emma (Tomes) Tyler. She married Billy Joe McCoy on Aug. 28, 1949, and he survives.
She was a treasured wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was employed at Ferrell Hospital for 21 years; patients and families appreciated her kindness and thoughtfulness. She was a member of the Eldorado First United Methodist Church and she was a waitress at many restaurants in Gary, Ind.
She is survived by her loving family, her husband of 61 years, Joe; daughter, Rebecca McCoy of Eldorado; son, Joe (Norma) McCoy of Eldorado; daughter, Mary (John) Bourland of Equality; son, Keith of Eldorado; daughter, Laura (Danny) Bradley of Eldorado; grandchildren, Chad (Jerilynn) McCoy of West Frankfort, Jason (Rachel) McCoy of Ziegler, Courtney (Mike) Smothers of Harrisburg, Christine (Josh) Golish of Harrisburg and Emma and Everett Bradley of Eldorado; and her five great-grandchildren, Madison, Ethan, Trent, Connor and Samantha.
Also surviving are two brothers, Sam Tyler of Lockport and Donald (Mary) Tyler of Gary, Ind.; three sisters, Marie Leithliter of Eldorado, Jeannie Shelton of Lockport and Deloris (Darrell) Collins of Joplin, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Emma (Tomes) Tyler; two brothers, John Tyler and Randall Tyler; five sisters, Barbara Rogers, Ritta Raines, Rose Sandy, Angelina Sue Tyler and Dora "Tootsie" Hanselman; and several half-siblings.
She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with Pastor Kathy Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 22, 2010, at Watson Funeral Home. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and left at the funeral home.
