Jackie Lee Price

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Jackie Lee Price, 71, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Condell Hospital in Libertyville.

A memorial/celebration of life being held starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday March 20, 2010, at Calvary Community Center in Lake Villa, 134 Monaville Road. He will also have a memorial service at the First Baptist Church in Norris City from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2010. His burial will be in his hometown of Eldorado, immediately following.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Cleo Price; mother, Hazel Geneva Oliver; his brother, Jim Earl Price; and infant son, Jackie Lee Price.

He leaves behind four children, Richard (Kelly) Price, Jacqueline Price-Sollenskog, Juliana (Mark) Greene and Rodger (Dora) Price; 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Linda (Melvin) Carter and longtime friends, Trudy Schaal and family. He was also still a lifelong friend to his former spouse, Zelma Price.

Jack was born June 3, 1938, in Kentucky. His family relocated to Eldorado, where he spent his childhood until moving to Chicago, where he worked as a machinist. Jack was an excellent musician. He enjoyed taking family trips back to Eldorado and showing his family the places he loved such as Garden of the Gods. He spent the latter years of his life attending church services at Round Lake Beach Church of God under the guidance of Pastor Scott Carey, whom he loved and considered family. Jack enjoyed singing bass in the choir of his church. His generous heart and detailed storytelling abilities left an impact on everyone around him, for which he will never be forgotten. For one last time Dad, "toodles," we'll miss you.
