Geneva McDonald
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Geneva McDonald, 91, Mt. Pulaski, formerly of West Frankfort and Harrisburg, died 11:45 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2010, at Vonderleith Living Center, Mt. Pulaski.
Services were held 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mt. Pulaski. Burial will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery, Harrisburg. Visitation was 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at the funeral home.
She was born Feb. 7, 1919, in Ridgway to the late D.M. and Radie Fairless Lewis. On Nov. 25, 1938, she married Lowell McDonald in Benton, Ky., and he preceded her in death in 1993.
She was a clerk at The Fashion Shop in Harrisburg and West Frankfort and a member of First Baptist Church of West Frankfort. She attended the Mt. Pulaski Christian Church and was a member of the Women's Club in West Frankfort and Mt. Pulaski as well as a member of the Jolly Seniors. She will be remembered as a vital caring person who was passionate about family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy (Jim) Gerren of League City, Texas and Janet (Joe) Haning of Lincoln; a brother, David (Oma Lee) Lewis of Harrisburg; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
Memorials may be made to the Vonderlieth Foundation or the Mt. Pulaski Christian Church Family Life Center.
