Frances E. 'Sis' Brown

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Frances E. "Sis" Brown, 80, of Eldorado, died Monday, March 8, 2010, at the Saline Care Center in Harrisburg.

"Sis" was born Aug. 2, 1929, in Eldorado to the late Paul and Maude (Hedger) Herrmann. She married Randall Brown and he preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1980. They were married for over 40 years.

They operated several restaurants, including the B and M and Brownies and Doc Gasaway's. She also worked at Barrett's Shoe Store for over 30 years. She was an auxiliary member of the ladies VFW.

She is survived by two brothers, Paul (Toni) Herrmann and John Herrmann; two nephews, Jeff (Ashley) Herrmann and Jason (Amber) Herrmann; and two nieces, Cindy (Jesse) Hathaway and Debby (David) Johnson, all of Eldorado.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Bertis C. Herrmann.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Watson Funeral Home with the Rev. Russell Helton officiating. Burial will be in Lindale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time on Wednesday. For those who wish, contributions may be made to the Hospice of Southern Illinois and left at the funeral home.
