Chlela Hancock-Dehart

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Chlela Hancock-Dehart, 88, of Harrisburg, passed away at 9:20 a.m. Feb. 22, 2010, at Saline Care Center, Harrisburg.

There will be no services. Her body has been cremated. Blue Funeral Home, Goreville has assisted the family with arrangements.

Chlela was born Oct. 25, 1921, in Pope County to Pinkney and Agnes (Wimen) Hancock. She married Glenn Dehart in 1965 in Clefurn Co. Arkansas. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Pinkney Thomas of Harrisburg; son, Sam I. and Peggy Sue Reynolds of Overton, Nev.; grandchildren, Chris S. Gillespie, Whit A. Gillespie, Frank E. Gillespie, Jay Lee Thomas, Rita Beth Flinn, Carol Flinn, Brenda K. Flinn, Wanda Jean Flinn and Bobby Flinn; 34 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; three great-great-great-grandchildren; sister, Myrna Finks of Harrisburg; brother, Rodney Hancock of Harrisburg; and nieces, Nell Ross and Penny Kay.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Jo Ann Reynolds; four sisters; four brothers; two grandsons, LeRoy Gillespie and August Arthur Lee Thomas.

Chlela was a frontiers woman who worked as a trapper for Sears and Roebuck and Company. She was also employed as a cook by nursing homes. But her love was her family; she was a very loving mother and grandmother.
