James L. Trippe Sr.

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[James L. Trippe Sr., 81, McCalla, Ala., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, in the University of Alabama Hospital, Birmingham, Ala.

He was born April 29, 1928, in Belzoni, Miss., the son of William and Dorothy Weaver Tripp. He was married to Betty Tolbert, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, James L. Trippe Jr. and Ben Trippe; two daughters, Pam Charles and Cindy Wentworth; a sister, Kathryn Kusak; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at the J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home with burial in Spring Valley Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until funeral time Saturday.
