William Ray 'Bill' Evetts

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[William Ray "Bill" Evetts, 78, Stonefort, died 11:38 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Evansville, Ind.

He was born Aug. 26, 1931, in Stonefort to Ira Evetts and Maena Holmes Evetts. He married Marilyn Glass on Dec. 24, 1957.

He was a veteran of the Korean conflict, a retired coal miner and a member of Stonefort Masonic Lodge No. 495.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; a son, Anthony Evetts of West Frankfort; a daughter, Tonya (David) Daisy of Springfield; a brother, Dale Evetts of Carrier Mills; a sister, Janet Dobrey of Bedford, Ind.; and two grandchildren, Andrew Daisy and Robbie Evetts.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at Robinson-Wise Cemetery with the Rev. Keith Bunfill officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Autism Program of Illinois, Attn: Julie Alderman, 5220 S. Sixth St. Road Suite 1700, Springfield, Ill. 62703.
