Oneida Faye Genet
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mrs. Oneida Faye Genet, 87, of Eldorado, passed away at 5:16 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, at Ferrell Hospital.
She was the widow of Maurice Lee Genet and Bill Brooks.
Oneida was born in McLeansboro on Sept. 24, 1922, the daughter of the late Francis and Lula (Crayne) Harrawood.
She was a member of Eldorado Church of God, Eldorado.
She worked as a sales clerk at Hart's Department Store prior to retirement.
Oneida is survived by a son, Jim (Sandra) Genet of Eldorado; two grandchildren, Mark (Amy) Genet of Benton and Tara (Matt) McGowan of LeRoy; and five great-grandchildren, Jon Mark Genet, Ben Genet, Justin Genet, Mattie McGowan and Macie McGowan.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Cartha Lovellette, Colleen Killman, Margie Reed and Dosha Williams; and seven brothers, Arnold Harrawood, Orbal Harrawood, Floyd Harrawood, Earl Harrawood, Arthur Harrawood, Eugene Harrawood and Alsa Harrawood.
Funeral services will be held at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, with the Rev. Earl Vaughan and the Rev. Danny York officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery.
Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home .
In addition to flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and can be left at the funeral home.
