Betty J. Conley

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Betty J. Conley, 68, 50 North St., New Burnside, died 1:55 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at Heartland Regional Medical Center, Marion.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Darrell Ford officiating. Burial will be in New Burnside Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, 2010, at the funeral home.

She was born on Nov. 5, 1941, in Bernie, Mo. to the late Jesse and Louise (Boone) Barnes. She married Lowell Conley on Oct. 7, 1961, and he survives.

She worked at the Nationwide Glove Factory until 1991. She was a loyal member of the New Burnside Baptist Church, where she taught the Teens for Christ Sunday School class. She was a member of WMU. She loved shopping, going to yard sales, cooking and visiting with friends, as well as family activities.

She is survived by her husband, Lowell Conley of New Burnside; son, Curt (Kathy) Conley of New Burnside; daughter, Vickie (Jim) Frost of Orient; sister, Judy (Tom) Defriese of Lutz, Fla.; brother, Bill Barnes of Sarasota, Fla.; five grandchildren, Heather (Kyle) Harris of Murphysboro, Kendra Trammel of New Burnside, Shawna (Phil Little) Conley of Creal Springs, Kyle Conley of New Burnside and Chelsea Frost of Orient; two great-grandchildren, Peyton and Madison Little of Creal Springs; a sister-in-law, Patsy (Herb) Chance of Ozark; and seven nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a niece.
