Wilma B. Rochkes

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mrs. Wilma B. Rochkes, 92, of Harrisburg, passed away at 5:50 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

She was the wife of John M. Rochkes, who preceded her in death.

Wilma was born in Downers Grove on March 18, 1917, the daughter of the late Joseph and Iva (Henderson) Miller.

She was employed as a elementary educator in the Decatur school system and in Mountain Home, Ark. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Decatur, Retired Teachers Association, Friends of the Library and The National Humane Society.

She is survived by grandchildren, Cyndie (Wes) Cook of Eldorado, Tim Brown and family, Janice Cantrell and family; and great-grandchildren, Drew Morris, Taylor Wheeler, Josh Cook, Kaleb Cook, Kyler Cook and Jonathan Cook; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, William Rochkes in 1964; and a sister, Susan Miller Stokes.

Graveside services will be held at Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2010.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the children's department of the library of choice or the Humane Society.
