Timothy Joseph Mitacek

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Timothy Joseph Mitacek, 59, of Harrisburg, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at his residence in Harrisburg.

He was born on May 22, 1950, in Chicago to the late Richard Mitacek and Barbara (Philipp) Mitacek. On June 22, 1974, he married Linda Densch, and she survives.

Tim was a production foreman at the Galatia Mine. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Delta Waterfowl, Quail Unlimited and the National Wild Turkey Federation. He attended the First United Methodist Church of Harrisburg.

Surviving family members include his wife, Linda Mitacek of Harrisburg; daughter, Sarah Mitacek of Chicago; son, Tim Mitacek of Harrisburg; mother, Barbara Mitacek of Lombard; brother, Richard Mitacek and wife Karen of Batavia; sister, Janet McEwen and husband Ken of Elmhurst; brother, Charles Mitacek and wife Kathy of Hinsdale; brother, Thomas Mitacek and wife Cheryl of Delavan, Wis.; sister: Clare Erber of Platte Woods, Mo.; sister, Irene Doyle and husband Dennis of Elmhurst; brother, Joseph Mitacek and wife Jeanie of Bensenville; brother, James Mitacek and wife Maureen of Bartlett; sister, Maryann Fese and husband Phil of Elmhurst; brother, Peter Mitacek and wife Pam of Glen Ellyn; mother- and father-in-law, Charles Densch and wife Billie of Harrisburg; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Joyce Reed and husband Dick of Providence, Ky., Fred Densch and wife Janice of Eldorado and Louis Densch and wife Debbie of Eldorado. Thirty nieces and nephews survive.

He was preceded in death by his father; and stepfather, Raymond Mitacek.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. David Estep will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Memorials contributions may be made to the Hospice of Southern Illinois or the First United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
