</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Melissa S. Heffington, 57, Shawneetown, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009 at her residence.

Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009 at the Cox and Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown, Visitation will be held after noon Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Bob Powell will officiate and burial will be in the Hogan Cemetery south of Shawneetown.

She is survived by a daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter, two sisters, three brothers, eight nieces and nephews and her best friend.
