Curtis 'Curt' Wayne Richerson
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Curtis "Curt" Wayne Richerson, 67, Harrisburg, passed away at 4:20 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, at Harrisburg Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 31, 1942, in West Frankfort to the late William and Vivian (Keelin) Richerson. Curt married the former Sue Jones on Nov. 20, 2002, and she survives in Harrisburg.
He was a supervisor at the A.L. Bowen Center, a coal miner at Old Ben No. 21 and a counselor at Mid-Five in Eldorado. He was an avid sports fan.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Desiree Rasch and husband Paul of Harrisburg, Kirsha Sherrod and husband Wes of Harrisburg and Keri Koester and husband Pat of Harrisburg; 13 grandchildren, Dylan and Keelin Rasch, Tiffany and Brandon Sherrod, Jared and Karlie Jackson, Austin and Mason Koester, Cameron Chapman, Nick and Carsen Borders and Ashley and Nathan Williams, all of Harrisburg; two stepdaughters, Kelly Chapman of Harrisburg and Kim Williams and husband Jonathan of Harrisburg; two sisters, Judy Edwards of Anna-Jonesboro and Jill Medsker and husband Rick of Marshall; one brother, Steve Richerson of Benton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009, at Reed Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10 a.m. to service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois Blue Team or Harrisburg High School athletics. Envelopes will be available at Reed Funeral Chapel.
