</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Willard G. "Bill" Whipple, 76, Belle Rive, died 1:05 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009.

Services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, at Belle Rive Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeremy Hamson and the Rev. Kenneth Holland officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Dahlgren. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at the church. Arrangements are in the charge of Gholson Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, the former Laura Katherine Garrison; three sons; two daughters-in-law; two daughters; a son-in-law; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother; a sister-in-law; two sisters; and a brother-in-law.
