</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Bob D. Horton, 72, 1770 Jenny Ridge Road, Carrier Mills, died 11:54 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Peggy Winters officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation is 11 a.m. to service time Wednesday.

He was born on Dec. 27, 1936, in Saline County to the late Clark and Marie (Keasler) Horton. He married the former Emma Futrell on May 1, 1958, and she survives.

He was a retired logger and truck driver. He was a member of the Equality Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Emma Horton of Carrier Mills; three daughters, Jenny (Paul) Steapleton, Reva (Ralph) Ditterline and Vickie (Justin) Smith, all of Harrisburg; two sons, Jeff (Tammy) Horton and Zane (Ashley Tolley) Horton, both of Carrier Mills; one sister, Barbara Fugate of Carrier Mills; three brothers, Cletis (Della) Horton of Harrisburg, Allen (Sandy) Horton and Ronnie (Elaine) Horton, both of Galatia; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Steven Ray Horton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family and left at the funeral home.
