James Kenneth Barnes

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[James Kenneth Barnes, 66, of Harrisburg, passed away at 4:43 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

James was born on Nov. 12, 1943 in Harrisburg to the late Kenneth and Helen (Ewell) Barnes. He married the former Wilma Rawhoof on July 31, 1963, and she survives in Harrisburg.

In addition to his wife Wilma, James is survived by his six children, Kenneth Barnes and wife Pam of Harrisburg, Teresa Nourie and husband Robby of Rantoul, Helen Johnson and husband Matt of Harrisburg, James Barnes and wife Kim of Carrier Mills, Charles Barnes and wife Angela of Golconda, Sandra Johnson and husband David of Harrisburg; 10 grandchildren, Brooke Kieth, Derrick Muck, Joey Muck, Justin Workman, Kyle Nourie, Kendra Barnes, Felicia Johnson, Heather Johnson, Jacey Barnes and Brody Barnes; four great-grandchildren, Cierra, Lucas, Brandon and Landon; two brothers, Donnie and Ronnie Barnes; and four sisters, Janice King, Joyce Debose, Joan Debose and Judy Oglesby.

James was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Harold Barnes.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Charles "Chuck" DePriest will officiate; burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg.
