Walter L. Reeg

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Walter L. Reeg, 85, Harrisburg, passed away at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

He was born on March 27, 1924, in St. Louis, Mo., to the late Walter L. and Helen (Kempen) Reeg. On Aug. 28, 1948, he married Marcella Range and she survives.

Walter was a grain inspector for the State of Illinois. He was a World War II veteran who also served in the Korean War.

Surviving family members include his wife, Marcella Reeg of Harrisburg; daughter, Joyce Chambers and husband Robert of Harrisburg; daughter, Linda Sperling and husband Ray of Harrisburg; son, Larry Reeg and wife Robin of Harrisburg; brother, William "Bill" Reeg and wife Barbara of East Carondelet; and five grandchildren, Julie Chambers, Kyle Chambers, Justin Reeg, Rachel Reeg and Stacey Sperling.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Robbie J. Chambers; and two sisters, Charlotte Wheatley and Helen Rohr.
