Dayton E. Bennett

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Dayton E. Bennett, 81, 502 Hutson St., Carrier Mills, died 8:06 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, at his residence.

Mr. Bennett's request was to be cremated. There will be no services. Burial of the cremated remains will be at Wolf Creek Cemetery at a later date. Felty Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was born on Nov. 28, 1928, in Sturgis, Ky., to the late Colyer and Tresie (Pruett) Bennett. He married Melva Bennett, who preceded him in death. He later married Mary (Hewitt) Carner, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 7, 2003.

He is survived by a stepdaughter, Shirley Johnson of Carrier Mills; two sons, Frank Bennett and James Bennett; a brother, Herb Bennett; and a stepsister, Phyllis Bruner of Eldorado.
