Thelma U. Hardin
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Thelma U. Hardin, 74, of Ridgway, passed away at 11:52 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at Ridgway Manor Nursing Home in Ridgway.
She was born Feb. 27, 1935, in Ridgway, the daughter of Anton and Emma (Walters) Fromm.
Thelma worked as a secretary for Dr. Tanner in Harrisburg and at the ASCS Office in Ridgway. Also, she will be remembered from her years she worked at Pappy's in Ridgway. Thelma was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph Altar Society and Ridgway American Legion Auxiliary, where she held an office for many years.
Thelma is survived by three daughters, Margie and Tom Dickey of Ridgway, Sylvia Harrawood of Mt. Carmel and Camilla and Norman Beck of Evansville, Ind.; one son, Kevin and Sue Dunn of Munster, Ind.; one brother, Hubert and Sarah Fromm of Ridgway; nine grandchildren, Brandon and Dennis Dickey, Matt Harrawood, Amy Mathews, Dana Oglesby, Adam and Joseph Beck, Erin and Shaun Dunn; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary Bilderbach; and three brothers, Ed, Ray and Ambrose Fromm.
Visitation for Thelma will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Ridgway with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ridgway with Father Tom Barrett officiating. Burial will be at the St. Joseph Cemetery near Ridgway. Memorials may be made in Thelma's memory to Ridgway St. Joseph Cemetery Fund.
