Jerry Foster

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Jerry Foster, 63, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Cleveland, Tenn., on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009.

Jerry, known as "Monk" to many friends, was born and raised in Muddy.

He worked at Zeigler Coal Mines in Coulterville for many years and was known as "Frosty" to his coal mining buddies.

After moving his family to Cleveland, Tenn., he worked at Jack Johnson Motors and other car dealerships as a salesman -- his true calling in life. He loved people and never met a stranger.

At the time of his death, he was working in landscaping and loving it.

Jerry loved camping, and most of all, he treasured being with family and friends.

He was a member of Old Pathway Baptist Church in Cleveland, Tenn. God welcomed him home.

He is survived by his daughters, Mary Jane Trexler (Mike) of Cobden, Mia Wolfe (Ryan) and Tami Cintron (Carl) of Las Vegas, Nev.; his former wife, Juana (Perry) Foster of Cleveland, Tenn.; his grandchildren, Tasha Trexler and Tory Wheatley of Cobden and Taylor Wolfe and Tyler Wolfe of Las Vegas, Nev.; also surviving are his mother, Evelyn Foster; brothers, Jim Foster (Phyllis) of Galatia and Jack Foster of Benton; two sisters, Judy Walker (John) of Ridgway and Janet Walker (Jim) of Carbondale; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Eugene "Gene" Foster; and two nephews, John Anthony Wargel Jr. and Mark Eugene Wargel.

Jerry's wishes were to be cremated. There was a celebration of life memorial service on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at Wildwood Chapel in Cleveland, Tenn.
