Iva Pearl (Allen) Ervin

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Iva Pearl (Allen) Ervin, 95, died at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at Fireside Nursing Home in Centralia.

<p class="MsoPlainText">She was born on June 26, 1914, in Gallatin County near Equality to Henry Hezekiah and Mary Ann (Nave) Allen. She married Bernard Ervin in Harrisburg on Dec. 1, 1934. He preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1966.

<p class="MsoPlainText">In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Wendell Ray Ervin; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Ann Murrow Reed; a grandson, David Boyer; a granddaughter, Rita Ann Ervin; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Buford Allen, Oral and Nella Deen Allen, Earl Allen, Delbert and Juanita Allen and Carol and Pansy Allen; and four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Lillian Allen, Hattie Irene and Ed Mundy, Allie and Marlin Bough and Mary Helen Griffin Berkel and Bernie Griffin.

<p class="MsoPlainText">Survivors include a son, Randall and wife Sharron of Centralia; a daughter-in-law, Beverly Ervin of Auburn; six grandchildren, Mark Ervin and wife Beth of Lockport, Donna Kay Moore of Auburn, Deanna Boyer of Auburn, Brian Ray (Pete) Ervin and wife Connie of Lemont, Rob Ervin and wife Katie of Parkville, Mo. and Emily Ramage and husband Chris of Mattoon; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nephews and nieces.

<p class="MsoPlainText">Mrs. Ervin was predominantly a homemaker. She worked for a number of years at the Harrisburg Manor Nursing Home as the head cook. She was a Baptist by faith and attended the Sloan Street General Baptist Church.

<span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Times;">Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at Reed Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Allan Mason will officiate. Interment will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at Reed Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jones Cemetery Association or the Fireside House Activity Fund, Centralia, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
