Hilda Whitaker
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[<span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Times;">Hilda Whitaker, 85, of 203 E. Russell St., Carrier Mills, died 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009 at her residence. </span>
<p class="MsoPlainText">Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19 at Coal Bank Springs Cemetery. There will be no visitation; all friends should go directly to the cemetery. The Rev. Jeff Owens will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Coal Bank Springs Cemetery. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills is in charge of arrangements.
<p class="MsoPlainText">She was born on Nov. 1, 1924 in Stonefort to the late Thomas and Beulah (Turner) Killman. She married Earl Whitaker on Sept. 13, 1947, and he preceded her in death April 2, 1956.
<p class="MsoPlainText">She attended the Main Street Church of God in Carrier Mills.
<p class="MsoPlainText">She is survived by a son, Larry Flannell of New Burnside; two daughters, Earlene Sullivan and Glenda Winters, both of Carrier Mills; a sister, Barbara (Jerry) Enz of Carrier Mills; six grandchildren, Brian Sullivan, Becky Bundrum, Tracy Mitchell, Beth Matheny, Nathan Flannell and Wes Flannell; nine great-grandchildren, Trenton Flannell, Alex Flannell, Heaven Bundrum, Israel Jackson, Michael Mitchell, Mason Mitchell, Tim Matheny, Laura Matheny and Devin Matheny; a sister-in-law, Doris Killman of New Burnside; and her pet dog, CC.

<span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Times;">She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Chuck Sullivan; two sisters-in-law; and four brothers-in-law.</span>
