Lonnie W. Slaton

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Lonnie W. Slaton, 48, of Shawneetown died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at his residence.

Lonnie was born on February 15, 1961, in Shawneetown to the late Elmer and Cora Lee (Gordon) Slaton. He was a protestant by faith and had worked on various farms throughout the years as a farm hand. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Lonnie is survived by his wife, Zsa Zsa Murrell Slaton of Shawneetown; a son, Brandon Brinkley of Mount Vernon; a sister, Linda Back of Shawneetown; two brothers, Jerry (Fran) Slaton of Morganfield, Ky., and Donald (Alonya) Slaton of Shawneetown; and one grandchild.

He was preceded by two brothers, Larry and Leroy Slaton.

Lonnie's wishes were to be cremated and a private service held at a later date. His services are entrusted to the Cox and Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown.
