Sonia D. Tarlton

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Sonia D. Tarlton, 60, of 197 W. Clinton St., Equality, passed away at 2:50 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, at Gateway Regional Hospital in Granite City.

She was born May 1, 1949 in Eldorado, the daughter of Herman and Imogene (Brinkley) Tarlton.

She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Herod.

Sonia is survived by a sister, Carmen Tarlton of Granite City; her brother, Tenney and Sharon Tarlton of Herod; aunt, Pauline Tarlton of Equality; stepson, Kevin and Vicki Anderson of Moultrie, Ga.; stepdaughter, Robin and Gary Forrester of Moultrie, Ga.; three nephews, Brian and Becky Tucker, Matt and Jada Ferrell and Mark Ferrell; three nieces, Angie and Larry Ashford, Tiffany and Wade Fletcher and Amber and Brian Densch; 10 stepgrandchildren; three great-stepgrandchildren; five great-nieces; and two great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Private family services will be held with burial in Colbert Cemetery near Equality. Vickery Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
