Sheila Lorraine Robinson

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Sheila Lorraine Robinson, 43, Thompsonville, passed away surrounded by family and friends at 5:40 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at Barnes Jewish Hospital following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

Sheila was born on Dec. 11, 1965, in Gary, Ind., to James C. "Doc" and Patricia (Chapman) Duffee of Galatia, who survive.

Sheila accepted the Lord at an early age and her faith helped her endure 13 years of cancer. She attended Trinity Full Gospel Fellowship Church in West Frankfort. On Aug. 13, 1994, she married her high school sweetheart, Paul Robinson.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Robinson of Thompsonville; two sisters, Sherry (Kevin) Peyton of Galatia and DuWanna Anderson of Harrisburg; mother-in-law, Jean (James) Reeder of West Frankfort; brother-in-law, Shane (Jennifer) Kendall of Johnston City; several nieces, Jennifer (Cory) Romonosky of Cumming, Ga., Jillian (Maverick) Marvel of Galatia, Felicia (Kyle) Mortag of Madisonville, Ky., Brooklyn Kendall and nephew Chase Kendall of Johnston City; and five great-nieces and nephews. Her nieces and nephews were the light of her life and Sheila had the unique ability to make each and every one of them feel like the most special person in the world.

Sheila was preceded in death by her sister, Audrey Mitchell; grandparents, Eugene and Ida B. Chapman and Goldman and Louisa Duffee; and father-in-law, Paul Wayne Robinson. Sheila's smile, charm and wit touched the heart of all those around her.

Visitation for Sheila will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia. The Rev. Bill Perry will officiate. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery at Thompsonville.
