Peggy Jean Brouillette

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Peggy Jean Brouillette, 85, Harrisburg, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at the Carrier Mills Nursing Home.

She was born on Jan. 18, 1924, in Carrier Mills to the late Louis and Bertha (Pyle) Durfee. In 1943, she married George Brouillette, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 1988.

Peggy was a member of the Spring Valley Social Brethren Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher for over 60 years. She was also a member of the Homemakers Extension. Peggy was a retired social worker and worked at the University of Illinois Extension office.

Surviving family members include two sons, Robert Brouillette of Edwardsville and David Brouillette of Herod; two grandchildren, Tracy Webb and Christian Eric Brouillette; and three grandchildren, Josie Lee Webb, Alexander Daniel Brouillette and Ellen Marie Brouillette.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at the Spring Valley Social Brethren Church. Burial will follow in Spring Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at Reed Funeral Chapel and from noon to service time Saturday at Spring Valley Social Brethren Church.
